Zev Eats Waffles, Tells Crazy Stories
A pretty typical breakfast. Berries. Yogurt. Waffles, whole grain and such. OJ. And a story about lost pizzas and found pizzas and happy endings.
Zev Skis! And Sleds! And Gets Cold!
Spent the weekend in Big Bear, in a cabin, with fire and pizza and snow. Zev and his buddy Aidan tore the place apart, ate pancakes and then learned to ski over at Snow Summit. They picked it up fast, taking the lift to the beginner slope within a few minutes of putting on their skis.
Here Zev's getting down the mountain while his dad skis backwards and frets. No need, though. Kid's fearless, and motivated by the promise of hot chocolate.
Next day, did some tubing and go-karting and some strange concrete tobogganing deal. None of that matched a 3 year old with two slick sticks on his feet working his way down a mountain.

Zev hit the Abbot-Kinney Street Festival on Sunday where he enjoyed enormous bounce-houses, cool music, a petting zoo and, of course, corn!
Zev Becomes a Groupie
After seeing The Hollow Trees perform at The Grove on Aug. 14, Zev shows up at the band's Farmer's Market show 10 days later. Only this time, he's got his Hollow Trees T-shirt on, and he's clearly ready to join the band.
The Great California Roadtrip
Zev & Co. totally covered the West Coast last week, visiting family and friends, hitting the beaches, cruising past redwoods, eating at Clint Eastwood's place, staying in the Swiss Chalet room at the Madonna Inn, touching mollusks in Monterey, hanging with grandma and great-grandpa, and getting close with bees, tigers and trains.
