Zev & Co. totally covered the West Coast last week, visiting family and friends, hitting the beaches, cruising past redwoods, eating at Clint Eastwood's place, staying in the Swiss Chalet room at the Madonna Inn, touching mollusks in Monterey, hanging with grandma and great-grandpa, and getting close with bees, tigers and trains. Zev's First Critics' Screening
For his third-ever movie theater experience (after Ratatouille and Enchanted) Zev hit the press screening today for Horton Hears a Who, held on the 20th Century Fox lot. The film started late, so he took the opportunity to run from one end to the other of the enormous, basically deserted movie lot--too bad it was Sunday, and all the sound stages were closed. Still, he found plenty to explore.
Zev's review: He's a big fan of the book, and (pretty sure) loved the movie. He was glued to every frame, expect, of course, when he buried his head during scenes with bad guys Vladikov or the Wickersham Brothers. By the end he was chanting and clapping with the Whos, and shouting at the screen, "We are here! We are here!" What else do you want from the movies?
Zev visits Disneyland proper for the first time, and gets himself a new hat. [more pics]
Journey to the East
Zev and his posse traveled to Philadelphia, New Jersey and Manhattan to encounter a brand new cousin, grandparents, snow, sharks, hippos, aunts and uncles, huge deli sandwiches and disembodied dinosaur skulls. [more pics]

For Daddy's birthday, Zev visits Disneyland's California Adventure, slides, spins, meets Mickey for the first time and sees what California would look like it was shrunk way, way down. [more pics]
Enter the Zev: Voyage to San Francisco
During his travels to and in northern California, Zev rode: cable cars,
buses, the subway, a cab, his first airplane, airport shuttles and a dragon. All of which, according to him, go, "Choo choo." Except dragons. Which go, "Chsssrrrr."
